Grooming Policies

The following policies are in place to keep our salons running smoothly and to follow state law where applicable. We appreciate your cooperation in adhering to these policies.

Proof of Rabies Vaccination

Wisconsin law requires all dogs to be vaccinated for rabies by the age of five months. Once a pet is five months old, we require proof that all pets (cats and dogs) are vaccinated for rabies before we provide services.

Before your pet's appointment, you must provide acceptable proof that your pet is currently vaccinated for rabies. We will keep your pet's rabies vaccination due date on file for future visits. When your pet's rabies vaccination expires, you must provide proof of updated rabies vaccination before we serve your pet again.

We require the rabies vaccination to be given 48 hours or more before your pet's appointment for the health and well-being of your pet. The rabies vaccination can make your pet feverish, and the stress of grooming can potentially compound the risk.

We accept any of the following forms as proof of current rabies vaccination in printed or electronic format:

  • A copy of your pet's rabies certificate
  • A receipt or other document from your veterinarian that includes the date the rabies vaccination was given or the date the rabies vaccination is next due
  • Verbal confirmation from your veterinarian
  • If your pet no longer receives the rabies vaccination due to health concerns, you may submit a titer test result indicating an acceptable vaccination level or a letter from your veterinarian indicating a rabies vaccination is no longer appropriate.

**A rabies tag is not acceptable proof of vaccination as it does not give a specific due date.**

To submit proof of rabies vaccination for your pet, you (or your veterinarian) may:

Grooming Deposit

We require new clients to pay a 50% deposit for any $40 or greater service when booking. The deposit will be applied as partial payment when the service is completed. The deposit is fully refundable if you provide a minimum of 48 hours notice for cancellations. It is fully transferrable to a rescheduled appointment if a minimum of 48 hours notice is provided. The deposit is forfeited if there is less than 48 hours' notice for cancellations or change requests.

Grooming Fees

Let's be clear: we hate fees! We'd prefer not to charge them, and with your cooperation, we don't have to! We appreciate your on-time appointment arrival, timely communication regarding scheduling changes, and prompt pickup of your pets following their appointment. However, if you are not as timely as we need you to be, we reserve the right to charge the following fees.

Rebooking Fee - 50% of the scheduled service for less than 48 hours notice

Please notify us at least 48 hours in advance to cancel or reschedule an appointment. If you fail to arrive for your appointment or provide adequate notice, we may charge 50% of the scheduled service before scheduling your next appointment. Repeated failures may result in us requiring payment of the fee and full prepayment for the next service before scheduling your next appointment.

Late Arrival Fee - $10 for 10-15 minutes late

Please arrive on time for your appointment. If you are 10 minutes or more late, a $10 late fee may apply. If you are more than 15 minutes late, we may be unable to complete your appointment, and the 50% rebooking fee may apply.

Kenneling Fees - minimum of $15 per hour after 1 hour

Because we have limited space to hold pets, please arrange to pick up your pet within 1 hour of the scheduled appointment end time, or notify us in advance if you need special accommodations. If your pet is not picked up within 1 hour of the scheduled end time, a $15/hour kenneling fee may apply. If you fail to pick up your pet before the store is scheduled to close, we will charge $10 for every 15 minutes after closing time. If a pet is left overnight, a $200 fee will apply.
